SURABAYA. This morning (31/12), the first rescue team of RZ Surabaya went to Terminal 2 Juanda Airport, Surabaya, to help the evacuation process of passengers and crews (bodies) of Air Asia QZ8501. In this action, RZ Surabaya carried several ambulances to support the evacuation.
In addition free ambulances of RZ, a van of Indosat Mobile Clinic and the second team of RZ Surabaya are also going to Juanda Airport this afternoon. Indosat Mobile Clinic is presented to give health care services. Indosat is also going to set a health post and provide free phone call for the victims’ family.
The third team is scheduled to visit Juanda Airport at 3 p.m. by carrying PGN Health Van and other free ambulances.
Air Asia QZ8501 flew from Surabaya to Singapore on December 28th, 2014 and it lost contact with ATC at about 6.17 a.m. This Airbus carried 155 passengers consisted of 138 adults, 16 children, 1 infant, 1 pilot, 1 co-pilot, 4 crews and 1 technician.
After searching for about 3 days, finally on Tuesday (30/12) National Search and Rescue Team found the debris of Air Asia QZ8501 and 6 bodies in Belitung waters. The evacuation process is centered in Pangkalanbun, Kotawaringin Barat, Kalimantan Tengah. Recently, NSRT has successfully found 47 bodies. ***
