MALUKU, Tuesday (10/15) – Since an earthquake of magnitude 6.8 shook Ambon, coinciding on September 26, 2019, and tremors continues till now, it has caused many material and non-material losses.
“Big sister, we really missed the place where we recite Quran, longing for that atmosphere, it seems like a long time we never learned to recite again because there was no place and no teacher,” it was a statement from Babang, a Refugee child in Tial’s tent, Salahutu District, Central Maluku Regency.
Masya Allah, in the midst of the tensions that struck, it was still stored in the children’s hearts the spirit to revive an almost empty soul with the activities of reciting together, drawn from their eyes are hope to be return like before, reciting in their Quran class every afternoon with friends, as well as joking and competing in the pursuit of who were first to test their memorization.
Babang is one of the affected victims’ children, who participates in the Quran park which was mobilized by the Rumah Zakat Action Volunteers.
This activity also received a good response from the parents of the children who were invited They really hope that this activity will continue, and hope that there will still accompany their children in the Quran studies even though they are still in the refugee camp who do not know when it ends.
