BANGLADESH. The head of the UN refugee agency says Bangladesh needs massive international aid to feed and shelter for Rohingyas fleeing from Myanmar. “The need for more than 430,000 people displaced by violence in Myanmar since Aug. 25 is huge and Bangladesh is facing enormous challenges,” said UNHCR Chief, Filipo Grandi, in the town of Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh late last September.
Although the flow of refugees from Myanmar to Bangladesh has begun to decline, it is difficult to know whether the flow will soon stop or not, given that up to now Rohingya refugees are still arriving even with a small amount.
Friends, these Rohingya refugees need our help. Their lives in evacuation are uncertain, they need food, clothing, water, and sanitation as well as shelter. Let’s help them to get a decent life through the humanitarian programs of Rumah Zakat.
