SOLO. “Alhamdulillah, we’ve implemented the distribution of scholarship twice on July in Sangkrah,” Devi Afriyanti, an Inspiration Volunteer, said when she had successfully the second phase of scholarship (Beasiswa Ceria) distribution for 30 students consisted of 10 elementary, 10 secondary, and 10 high school students in Sangkrah, Solo, Sunday (27/7).
Beasiswa Ceria is a scholarship program that focuses on assisting the needy students to continue their school. In Indonesia, there many unlucky students that stopping school because of cost issue. Thus, it is presented by RZ because RZ thinks that education is an important thing for people’s life and future.
The distribution of scholarship in Sangkrah was divided in several areas through the stages of survey and selection of the beneficiary. In addition to the distribution of scholarship, the volunteers also held a weekly coach and counseling for the students and monthly parenting program for the parents. Afriyanti said that these programs are implemented to supervise and encourage the students’ learning interest.***
