JEMBER. Monday (07/08), Rumah Zakat’s Empowered Village Facilitator in Suci Village, Pati Sub-district, Jember District, won the trust of Indonesian Student Association (PPI) in Fukuoka, Japan to assist the scholarship distribution for elementary, junior high and high school students in Suci Village.
Initially, Eriek Mustaqim, The Empowered Village Facilitator in Suci Village received information on scholarship disbursement for underprivileged students from his colleagues studying in Japan. Then he helped the students in the empowered village of Rumah Zakat to be able to apply for the scholarship.
“Alhamdulillah, after waiting for about 2 months, we got information that the application of scholarships to 6 elementary school students and 1 junior high school students from the Suci Village was accepted and can be distributed immediately,” said Eriek.
The distribution of the scholarship was also conducted on Monday (07/08) at SDN Suci 1. “I am very happy to get a scholarship, hopefully, to help my parents, and I promise to improve my achievements”, said one of the PPI Fukuoka scholarship recipients.
