GARUT. Since the tragedy of the flood disaster that hit Garut 5 months ago, RZ maintain its commitment to become a leading institution in helping others. At the current recovery phase RZ build 10 Houses treads that are intended for flood victims.
Not only that, RZ was very concerned about how the economic sustainability of the victims as well. Through one of its empowerment program, RZ help three families of victims of flash floods to emerge from the downturn with the help of business venture capital.
After going through the assessment and dissemination, now the beneficiaries are ready to rise up through business assistance from RZ. “I have a plan for to continue my husband business, I want to sell iced fruit in schools,” said Yulia, a victim whose husband and son died swept away by the flood.
Likewise with brother Hana he will also sell ice and syrup in schools. “I want to rent a stall (kiosk) in Ciawitali market, my wife and I want to try selling vegetables.” Said Wawan, another beneficiaries.
Little by little, the flood victims in Garut began to rise. They are eager to open a new chapter in their lives.
