PALEMBANG. Karsiwen is a housewife who used to work as laundress and now becomes an entrepreneur. As a laundress she was only paid for 350 thousand rupiah per month.
Moreover, her husband also works as motorcycle taxis with monthly low income. Living with 3 children, she thought that her income was not enough anymore for fulfilling her family’s living cost.
Therefore, she initiated to increase her income through entrepreneurship. With a strong will, she tried to start a pastry business with her husband.
Considering her effort to be an independent entrepreneur, RZ sent a Micro Business Officer (MBO) to support her business development though various entrepreneurship trainings.
Now, her business is improving significantly. Her products are increasingly recognized by the public. “Alhamdulillah, currently, I could earn up to 1.5 million rupiah per month as net profit and I can be an independent person. I’d like to thank to RZ and donors for the assistance,” Karsiwen said. ***
