LOMBOK. Although he could not express it clearly because he was sick, Busni (60) and Mertasari (54) ‘s faces looked happy because they given temporary houses or shelters from Rumah Zakat, in the Pemenang Subdistrict refugee camp, North Lombok Regency.
The house where the elderly couple and his son Hendriawan (28) lived was torn down because it was cracked and endangered the impact of the earthquake on Sunday (05/08/2018).
Now, the three of them can occupy a house measuring 450 cm wide by 460 cm long with a feeling of pleasure. Moreover, Mertasari’s condition is no longer fit, so that a place to stay that is more feasible than a tent is needed.
With a typical smile, Busni said his thanks to Rumah Zakat because they were prioritized to get the help of the house. “Alhamdulillah, at least this assistance slightly lightens the burden of our lives,” he added.
