On behalf of YMM (Freeport Muslim Society) Freeport, Rumah Zakat distributes Hygiene Kits package to 2,000 Rohingyas at Leda Nayapara camp, Bangladesh.
An estimated 800,000 more Rohingya refugees are vulnerable to coraca and measles due to poor sanitation problems in refugee camps, including the habit of defecating and drinking uncooked water.
“This is the first stage distribution, we will still be distributing hygiene kits packages in other camps,” explained Andri Murdianto, Rumah Zakat’s Humanity Team in Bangladesh.
In addition to hygiene kits, YMM Freeport through Rumah Zakat also provides food packages for 2,500 Rohingyas at the Leda Nayapara camp.
