LOMBOK. Lombok still leaves deep wounds after the earthquake. Those in isolated areas are having a hard time getting access to meet logistical needs. Plus, the location is quite far from the main command post, so the distribution of aid is very minimal.
Wednesday (09/13) humanitarian call guided the Volunteer of Rumah Zakat to Kolong Treng Tempos, Sigar Payung Village, Tanjung District, North Lombok Regency to distribute the aid of water filter equipment from the collaboration of Rumah Zakat and kitabisa.com.
The journey to get there is quite tense. Steep roads and access from the main road to the village cannot be passed by cars, only can be passed by motorbike or on foot. Pass the footpaths on the hillside but this did not dampen the enthusiasm of volunteers to distribute the aid.
The village has 55 families, 100 years old grandmother tries to walk using a stick limping, only to find Rumah Zakat volunteer who comes to her village, she occasionally smiles and talks with volunteers.
“A thank words were even faintly heard until we returned to the car. So simple they are happy. Our arrival also feels valuable and special, “said Wina Zulfani, the Rumah Zakat Volunteer on duty at that time.
