“Among the ruins, residents looking for leftovers that can still be used, we try to help as best we can” said Candra, Volunteer of Rumah Zakat.
(15/08) Rumah Zakat volunteer, who at the time was assigned to Karang Desa, helped refugees to clear up the debris, it appeared that the volunteers and the residents were transporting items that could still be used.
Mrs. Rudiyah, an earthquake-affected resident, said that in the refugee camp they needed tarpaulins to make tents because the price of tarpaulin in Lombok was very expensive after the earthquake.
“Let alone the money to buy a tarpaulin to eat the next day I don’t know where to look,” said Mrs. Rudiyah
Therefore, Rudiyah and the refugees in Karang Desa were happy when Volunteers came to help them and gave Superqurban for their food supplies.
“Here is very much in need of a helping hand from all parties because here the refugees do not have anything. Alhamdulilah, Superqurban helped them meet their food needs, “Candra said.
