BANYUMAS. Rumah Zakat distributes clean water for the victims of the drought that hit Banyumas region on Wednesday (16\08). One of them is in Pegalongan Village, Kecamatan Patikraja that citizens are hard to get clean water supply. Rumah Zakat then takes action quickly after hearing the village that affected by drought.
Sembodo Nugroho, Empowered Village Facilitator of Rumah Zakat nearby in drought-affected areas directly handling by distributing clean water. At least two of the three hamlets in the village find it difficult to get clean water for their daily needs. Moreover, PAMSIMAS (Penyediaan Air Minum dan Sanitasi Berbasis Masyarakat) Water Supply which become the source of clean water is not functioning and murky.
“Water from PAMSIMAS has been stuck for three days, and if it comes out the color of the water is dark turbidity,” said Mr. Basis, Head of Cunil hamlet.
“Clean water is very needed, especially for the needs of the kitchen. Lately, the water from PAMSIMAS does not flow”, said Mr. Dodo, Head of Pegalongan Village.
When the Rumah Zakat’s clean water tank came, the residents came and queued to get the water in turns. “Hopefully, clean water like this is often be distributed, considering the need for clean water continues to grow along with the length of the dry season,” said Narsito, villagers who affected by drought.
