JAKARTA. (02/04) Natural disasters that often occur in Indonesia make Rumah Zakat Action as a humanitarian institution giving more attention to its response. Sympathy for the disaster that occurred also came from various parties including OVO, a versatile payment application company that cooperates with Rumah Zakat in disaster management.
To encourage disaster agility and responsiveness, OVO facilitates disaster evacuation equipment. The assistance of the 460 million disaster evacuation equipment was symbolically handed over by OVO Director, Setiawan Adhiputro to the CEO of Rumah Zakat Nur Efendi on Tuesday (02/04) in the press conferance event of platform for donation online convenience through infak.id page and lelangbintang.com, in Jakarta, to realize Empowered Ramadan for Indonesia. In the handover of this assistance, Adhiputro expressed sympathy and support for Rumah Zakat to carry out evacuation and handling post-disaster.
“We are sorry for disasters experienced by the community. To encourage agility and responsiveness of disasters, together with Rumah Zakat, OVO facilitated the provision of disaster evacuation equipment, “said Director of OVO, Setiawan Adhiputro.
In its implementation Rumah Zakat Action distributes disaster equipment consisting of rubber boats, buoys and oars, helmets, portable tents, dispensers, thermos and gallons of water to 14 cities where Rumah Zakat are located, such as in Medan, Jakarta, Bandung, Makassar, Pontianak, Kediri, Padang, Pekanbaru, Lampung, Cirebon, Malang, Yogyakarta, Jember, and Semarang.
Nur Efendi also hopes that with complete evacuation equipment, Rumah Zakat Action Volunteers on duty in the field will be more responsive and agile in carrying out disaster evacuations, so that affected communities can be helped more quickly.
