FIRE IN BINJAI, VOLUNTEERS OF RUMAH ZAKAT DISTRIBUTES AIDS

BINJAI. On Tuesday (21/11) the city of Binjai was hit by a fire that devoured 32 units of houses on Jl. Ikan Tenggiri and Jl. Suratin Timbang Langkat Village, East Binjai District, Binjai City, North Sumatra. Fires allegedly occurred due to leakage of resident’s gas tube.

The area is known to be densely populated, and since the adjacent residents’ houses set fire to a neighboring house, a few minutes lots of houses have been burned. The victims were evacuated to the Binjai City Sports Stadium.

Rumah Zakat Medan sent 8 volunteers to distribute aid to the evacuation site, the volunteers brought stationary, Mat, bedding, underwear (for men, women, and children), clothing worth wearing, toiletries and Superqurban corned beef on Wednesday (23/11).

“Everything burned, but Alhamdulillah my family has survived. Never mind, I still can look for the asset “, said Mrs. Supriyani (53th) to the Volunteer while wiping her tears.

Various kinds of aids are now coming to the refugee camps from individuals, student organizations and community organizations, as well as government agencies such as BPBD, Tagana, TNI, and POLRI.
