LUMAJANG. The business of Moringa leaf-based snacks initiated by a number of female students who are fostered by Rumah Zakat Facilitators in the Empowered Village of Lumajang, East Java received a positive response in the Lumajang market.
The business which was named Mr Kelor was pioneered since January, gradually increasing its turnover. Although only sold online, currently there are 7 resellers for the Lumajang area spread across several regions and schools.
From this business, all Mr. Kelor’s team agreed that 10% of the profits each month would be set aside for scholarships for disadvantaged children around the Empowered Village.
Therefore, efforts to expand the market and the network are also continuing, including starting this March to try to sell offline in the center of the city of Lumajang that is present every week, Car Free Night (CFN) on Saturday night, and Car Free Day on Sunday morning.
For this reason, business facilities are in the form of procurement of production equipment because the increasing market demand, besides that business booth which will also support the business is also given. Thursday afternoon (3/27) Mr. Kelor received assistance from business facilities from Rumah Zakat with great joy.
“Hopefully the turnover will increase, and hopefully it will also increase profits in the hereafter,” said Novi Istina, Empowered Village Facilitator.
