REFUGEES CONDITION IN TEKNAF IMIGRATION, BANGLADESH

Humanity Team of Rumah Zakat in Bangladesh visited the first Rohingya Refugee Camp in the Teknaf region. Hundreds of thousands of Rohingyas come here every day to be recorded by local authorities, then they are transported by truck to be placed in designated camps like Ukhiya, Balukhali, Ghundum and others.

“The condition of the children looks worrisome, we see many dressed unworthily, their bodies also seem weak, because during the journey they lack food,” said Hermansyah, Humanity Team of Rumah Zakat.

Hermansyah along with other Humanity Team of Rumah Zakat had time to provide assistance to the refugees who were waiting in line. “We provide clothing, candy, food and mineral water,” said Hermansyah. “Once their stomach is filled, hopefully, his body can feel fresher,” he added.
