BANDUNG – Rumah Zakat sent back five aid trucks for Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Assistance was sent in the form of corned logistics around 30 thousand corned beef, kidsware, blankets, mats, tarpaulin, rice and food aid packages.
“Today there are 20 thousand corned beef we sent to our brothers in Lombok, NTB. Previously, we have sent corned beef about 10 thousand there, “said the Board of Trustees of Rumah Zakat, Yayan Somantri, Tuesday (8/28).
A total of four trucks assisted by Rumah Zakat were directly released by the Board of Trustees of the Rumah Zakat, Yayan Somantri from the office of the West Java Representative on Jalan Turangga No. 33 Bandung. While another aid truck departed from the Rumah Zakat Yogyakarta office.

The aid truck is targeted to arrive in Lombok on Saturday (1/9). Yayan said that all of the assistance came from donators and Rumah Zakat partners.
“Incidentally, the logistics and food needs in Lombok are indeed very urgent, while the prices of these goods in Lombok are already very high. So, this assistance will be very useful there, “said Yayan.
According to him, in meeting the logistical and food needs of the Lombok community, Rumah Zakat optimizes the potential in its assisted villages called Desa Berdaya. For example, 6,000 kg of rice sent to Lombok today turned out to be rice originated from assisted farmers in Selokarto Empowered Village in Pecalungan Subdistrict, Batang, Central Java.
“We bought rice to be sent to Lombok from a group of assisted farmers in Selokarto who were named Toko Ndeso. The goal is that the inmates will be empowered at the same time so that they can feel part of the people concerned about the rise of the Lombok community, “Yayan said.

Crisis Center of Rumah Zakat, Andri Murdianto added that his party had designed six main programs during this rehabilitation period, namely the construction of shelter, the establishment of emergency schools, and the establishment of emergency mosques.
Then the provision of health services and health fleets, providing and assisting business capital for earthquake affected people and also providing food security. At present, he said, the rehabilitation and reconstruction program designed by Rumah Zakat has already begun.
“Emergency schools have started operating, as well as emergency mosques, for the shelter, the construction process has begun, hopefully every family will have a decent temporary place to live,” said Andri.
