MALANG. One of empowerment in Sukodadi Empowered Village is the empowerment of catfish farming. Pak Hari, the residents of RT.5 RW.2 Jamuran Hamlet, Sukodadi Village, Wagir District, Malang Regency, members of the program is assisted directly by the Rumah Zakat Facilitator in developing the cultivation of catfish with bioflok system.
Satriyo Yulianto, Village Facilitator Berdaya Rumah Zakat said Bioflok system is one way to keep catfish by adding probiotic vitamins to the pond.
“The biofloc system is used in order to save water use and increase appetite in fish so the growth of catfish will be faster” said Yulianto.
On Sunday (14/01), the first harvest of catfish cultivation was done after the cultivation period of catfish approximately 2.5 months.
“Thank God, when harvested catfish measuring between 1.5 to 2 ounces per tail, Thank you for the help of capital and guidance is done by Rumah Zakat” Hari said.
Not only business capital aid provided to the assisted members but also guiding and assisting each catfish farming process from the preparation of materials, breeding, harvest to help find market share after the harvesting.
