BEKASI. Flooding is frequent natural disasters in Indonesia especially Jakarta. Therefore, to improve flood disaster evacuation skill, 30 volunteers of RZ from Bekasi, Tangerang, Bogor, and Bandung participated in Water Rescue Training as a part of campus volunteer activity, Sunday (22/3).
In this training, they had chance to learn various material of water rescue such as recognizing water rescue equipments, paddling techniques simulation, inflatable boat control simulation, learning to be a skipper, and lifting victim from the water.
In addition, they also learned about Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation steps and its simulation. All those materials were by Drajat, a member of Indonesia Volunteer.
“We hope that they could be more skillful and give more contribution to the victims of natural disaster in world especially in Indonesia,” Hassa Dyma, Program Officer of RZ’s Volunteer, said. ***
