DANGEROUS SMOG STRIKES PEKANBARU

RZ LDKO CilegonPEKANBARU. Smog from burning forests and land are getting worse. Smog is not only got to interfere with flights but also create thousands of communities stricken ARI because the dangerous air.

Based on the data from National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) number of infection sufferers of ISPA in Riau reached 1.228 people. It has not yet been affected by the other breathing problem.

The head of the Data and Information Services Center, The Central of National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Sutopo Puwo Nugroho, Monday (3/8) in Pekanbaru, mentioned smog not only happening in Riau, but almost the whole area of Sumatra.

Because the hotspots have been spread almost in the entire province of Sumatra, such as in South Sumatra there are 350 hotspots, Jambi as much as 320 hotspots and in Riau Province 219 points.

Therefore to reduce the impact of smog, RZ collaborated with Cita Sehat Foundation (CSF) to distribute mask to the society in Pekanbaru (3/9).

“We try to help them by distributing mask since there are more than 2000 people stricken by ARI in Pekanbaru,” Fajri Sabti, a volunteer of RZ, said. ***
