JAYAPURA (12/14). The fire that took place in Youtefa Housing, Abepura, Jayapura City, Papua some time ago has consumed as many as 25 houses containing 88 heads of families. Residents’ activities were paralyzed because property was burned.
In response to this fire incident, Rumah Zakat jayapura Volunteers took action at the scene. Reviewing damage and recording the amount of needed assistance needed by Volunteers. At present fire victims desperately need fast food, baby food and clothes.
Volunteers who went down to the location began to assist Social Service officers to set up emergency tents. Some other volunteers took action in distributing food aid to the victims of the fire. When Volunteers distribute superqurban rending and corned beef, there are also volunteers who play with refugee children to entertain them. 330 superqurban cans distributed to fire victims.
