Friday, (21/07) the release ceremony of Expedition participants of NKRI 2017 Corridor of South Papua was attended by the Coordinating Minister of Human Development and Culture, Puan Maharany. The minister released 1,180 expedition participants from all over Indonesia consisting of TNI members, students and youth members at Pusdik Passus Batujajar , Bandung.
Three volunteers from Rumah Zakat who came from Padang successfully followed the selection and passed in the NKRI Expedition 2017. They are Novita Sari, Aprichindy Putri Oliyan and Yessi Marcelya Nasution who all three are women.
The voyage will commence on July 24, 2017 from the port of Tanjung Priuk, Jakarta to southern Papua. The expedition will last until November 2017.
In this NKRI Expedition, Rumah Zakat also contributed in the distribution of 7,500 cans of Superqurban corned beef in order to improve food for the people in Papua.

Hopefully the help from Rumah Zakat will be useful for the community especially in the southern part of Papua which will be carried out from August 1 – November 30, 2017 “, said Ari Nugroho, a member of KOPASSUS.
