VOLUNTEERS OF RUMAH ZAKAT ESTABLISH FRESH POST IN DISATER SITE, MAGELANG

RELAWAN RUMAH ZAKAT SALURKAN BANTUAN LONGSOR MAGELANGMAGELANG. Heavy rain that took place since Friday, (04/28) caused a landslide in four hamlets, namely Sambungrejo, Nipis, Karanglo and Deles Grabag District Magelang Regency. The landslide crashed into a residential area causing casualties.

Recorded until Monday (01/05) the impact of the disaster took the lives of 12 people who have been evacuated in Sambungrejo, Nipis and Deles hamlet. The Twelve casualities are Sutar (50), Sumisah (60), Mirah (30), Siti Mardilyah (45), Nayla (6 years), Catur Deni Firmanto (34), Faza (6 months), Pariyah, Nayla Sulistyaningrum, Jamilatun (12), Nanda, while 1 victim is still in search process.

In addition, there are two casualities with serious injuries, namely Sumarlan (30) and Midwife Aryanti, while 5 others are slightly injured, namely Musliyah, Irfan andriyani, Munasiroh, Naila Rediyah and Afauzi ardin.

Magelang disaster caused damage to 71 houses, including 25 houses severely damaged, 12 houses slightly damaged and the remaining 34 homes affected by the landslide. On the other hand, SDN Sambungrejo classrooms and courtyards are covered with thick mud.

Responding to the disaster, Rumah Zakat was directly deployed 16 volunteers who have coordinated with BPBD. Besides that the volunteers also established fresh post for 150 people, providing clean water, coffee, tea and various other hot drinks.

Until now, the required needs are fast food, human resources volunteers for the evacuation, hygiene and school equipment for children. Rumah Zakat’s volunteer activities continued by doing evacuation in Deles hamlet, cleaning up schools and establishing fresh post for volunteers and residents.
