Entering the 40th day after the earthquake in Aceh, RZ Volunteers continue to provide services to the affected people in Pidie Jaya district. “After passing the emergency response, disaster care RZ resume action by helping to build infrastructure development destroyed by earthquake,” said Izzatul Yazid, RZ Volunteer Coordinator for Aceh Earthquake Disaster Care Action in a press statement received by Republika on Friday (20/01).
In order to assist infrastructure development, RZ together with partners donated 1700 bags of cement for residents whose homes were damaged in the three villages. Namely Peduek Mee village, the village and the village of Deah Teumanah Cot Maksoe. In addition, RZ also help the renovation MCK Masjid Mosque Baiturahman Gampong Peudeuk and in Meunasah Balek, the rebuilding of Masjid Darul Ihsan in Gampong Deah Teumanah and the installation of water filtration in meunasah Balek. “RZ together with partners have also set up three classrooms in two emergency schools of, in SDN Peudeuk Tunong and SDN 1 Trienggadeng, and distribute 366 packets of school supplies,” Yazid added.
An earthquake in Aceh has made clean water channel of citizens broken, consequently citizens shortage of clean water. Therefore, RZ distributed clean water in two districts most in need, among Trienggading districts and Meureudu districts.
RZ has distributed 140,000 liters of clean water since December 29, 2016 until January 6, 2017 ago. “RZ still will continue to assist in the recovery of Aceh to its conclusion. Alhamdulillah, today solicitation synergies from corporate partners continues to grow. Hope can help our brothers in Aceh to get back to normal life as before the earthquake, “said Nur Efendi, RZ’s CEO.
