SALATIGA. Rumah Zakat through Facilitator of Empowered Village in Dukuh Village, Sidomukti District, Salatiga launched the Qur’an Illiteracy Program on Thursday (09/04).
The launch of the program was held in cooperation with the Woman Assembly of Nurul Islam in Griya Dukuh Asri, Salatiga. Participants of this program are those who are teenagers and adults who have not been able to read the Qur’an or have not completed to read the Qur’an.
Dwi Pujiyanto, Rumah Zakat facilitator who became the facilitator of this program said that there are still many Muslims found in adolescents and adults who have not been able to read the Qur’an.
When Rumah Zakat socialized about the initiation of learning Quran from zero in youth forum and assembly, the public response is very enthusiastic. Proven starting this week there are three groups Quran learning, the group of mothers, young men, and young women.
“There are still many Muslims in this area who cannot read the Qur’an. Then from Rumah Zakat came the idea to teach them to learn to read the Quran. And Alhamdulillah it got a good response, for starters there are three learning groups that are running, “said Dwi Pujiyanto.
Mothers who follow the learning activities are not embarrassed. Instead they are very excited. For example, Mrs. Elok, the widow who has three sons during the inaugural lesson she asked a question,
“When the meeting will be held again? If you can, I want to learn twice a week ” she said.
While the Quran class is held once a week for groups of mothers and young women, as for the young men’s groups held every Friday and Saturday. The method used for learning is Quran UMMI method for adult.
