MYANMAR. Yayasan Rumah Zakat will deliver aid to refugee camps in Rakhine State, Myanmar. In the period adjacent to Eid al-Adha this time, Rumah Zakat will provide cows for Qurban. “Qurbany animal will be collaborated with the local distribution to suit the customs and needs of citizens,” explained Andri Murdianto, as coordinator of humanitarian action Rumah Zakat in Myanmar.
“Rumah Zakat will also distribute packets of basic necessities for displaced residents, coupled with Superqurban corned and rendang. I hope this can help the supply of food in refugee camps,” added Andri. Rumah Zakat will also distribute educational facilities and infrastructure development in the form of sanitation and clean water facilities in ten points in Rakhine.
Wednesday (30/8) morning, Rumah Zakat Team as part of Humanity Alliance of Indonesia for Myanmar (AKIM) coordinated with Embassy of Republic of Indonesia (Embassy) for Myanmar. “We are waiting for recommendation from the embassy in relation to Rachine’s recent situation, hopefully there is Green Notice.” All coordination to maximize aid will be sought “Andri added.
