PEKANBARU. Last month was a great day for the Okura Clean Community because they were trained how to create Hydroponic Farm as one of Urban Farming programs. This year, they also have been trained how to manage waste bank and biopori.
This training was begun with the explanation of Hydroponic Farm technology and making technique delivered by Syahrir Afandi, a Micro Business Officer of RZ. In the last session, they were invited to create and construct their own hydroponic farm. To ensure their understanding, Afandi kept supervising and guiding them.
“Alhamdulillah, the program ran well and smoothly. We’re also assisted by an agriculture practitioner, Ngadiyo Prb, who shared his knowledge voluntarily,” Afandi said.
He also added that this program is implemented to introduce Urban Farming and educate them productive ways in preserving environment and utilizing vacant land.***
