Somalia

After two-and-a-half decades of conflict, persistent drought and failed rains for the past four years, Somalia has some of the worst development indicators in the world. Today, there are more than 257 million people in Africa who are affected by hunger.

Hunger in almost all African countries has been going on for years and the COVID-19 pandemic is exacerbating the situation.

Many people in Africa’s poor communities have either lost their jobs or experienced drastic declines in income. About 8.4 million children will suffer from malnutrition in South Africa by the end of 2020, of which 2.3 million will need life-saving care.

Rumah Zakat have continued to provide Food aid and Superqurban to relieve them even a little of their hunger.
