KEBUMEN. There was a different atmosphere on Sunday morning (17/09) in the Blater Inspiration Hall, in Blater Village, Poncowarno, Kebumen. The children reveled and scrambled to the turn of the ladder snake. That was not a regular ladder snake, because the children were playing PHBS (Clean and Healthy Life) Ladder Snake.
This PHBS Ladder Snake is initiated by facilitator of Rumah Zakat in Blater empowered village, Amad Syarifudin. According to Syarifudin, children really need to be taught about clean and healthy life behavior (PHBS) to avoid the disease. “PHBS education to children is very important, but sometimes children get bored if we teach the material with the usual method of explanation. So that I tried to make PHBS Ladder Snake game. Hopefully with this educational media, children can be interested. ”
PHBS Ladder Snake is designed with interesting images and health education. This ladder snake can be played around 3-4 children. If a player arrives at a box depicting healthy behavior then the player will climb the ladder. Conversely, if a player arrives in a box that describes unhealthy behavior then the player will go down.
“I like to play this ladder snake. We’re scrambling to play this. In addition to playing, we can also learn to healthy life,” said Anas, one of the children who participated in playing PHBS Ladder Snake.
