JAKARTA. Rumah Zakat sends volunteers on Expedition Bhakti PMK 2017 which will start sailing this Friday, (06/10) until (09/10). “This is the 6th time Rumah Zakat participates in Bhakti PMK Expedition,” said Noor Yahya Muhammad, Chief Program Officer of Rumah Zakat. “We have been involved since 2012 by sending volunteers and assistance to the islands of Indonesia,” added Noor Yahya.
The Expedition of Bhakti PMK Team will visit 5 areas in East Indonesia, namely Muna Island in Southeast Sulawesi, Tual and Dobo cities in Southeast Maluku, and Agats and also Merauke in Papua.
Rumah Zakat sends 4 volunteers, Al-Quran and Iqro packages, mukena (prayer kit), school supplies, first aid kits, and will hold disaster preparedness training.
“Alhamdulillah, one of the greatest blessings can be the representative of Rumah Zakat in Expedition of Bhakti PMK 2017, because the experience and opportunity is difficult to find, and will not come twice,” said Nur Aprilita, Coordinator of Rumah Zakat volunteer who became one of representatives of Rumah Zakat.
The release of participants of the Bhakti PMK 2017 Exhibition was held in Kolinlamil TNI Navy, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Puan Maharani. Participants consist of members of the TNI, representatives of humanitarian agencies and communities.
“The appointment of participants by using KRI Banjarmasin Insya Allah will start this afternoon (06/10). Please do pray that Bhakti Expedition of PMK 2017 will run smoothly,” said Nur Aprilita.
