TAMU DARI KOREA DAN JEPANG TERTARIK DUSUN RAMAH LANSIA BINAAN RZVISITOR FROM KOREA AND JAPAN ARE INTERESTED IN ELDER FRIENDLY VILLAGE ASSITED BY RZ

RZ LDKO CilegonYOGYAKARTA. Dusun Ramah Lansia di Karet, Pleret, Kab Bantul, DIY menarik perhatian seorang profesor dari Jepang bernama Prof Takeo Ogawa dan rekan-rekannya dari Korea Selatan. Mereka tertarik dengan penanganan kaum lansia di Dusun Karet yang ditangani oleh LSM dan pelaksananya masih cenderung berusia muda.

Kunjungan mereka diterima oleh para pendamping lansia yang di bina langsung oleh Cita Sehat Foundation member of RZ. Di negara mereka, layanan lansia dilakukan dengan mengundangnya ke Lansia Centre, sementara di Dusun Karet dilakukan justru dengan cara petugas kita yang mendatangi mereka ke rumah-rumah.

Sementara di negara mekera yang menangani lansia adalah pemerintah dan tenaga medis, sedangkan yang dilakukan di Dusun Karet adalah tim program kesehatan RZ melatih para kader yang merupakan warga setempat baik dari para remaja, ibu-ibu maupun dari kalangan lansia sendiri. Para kader diberi pelatihan hingga mereka benar-benar bisa membantu melakukan pelayanan kepada para lansia di desa tempat tinggal mereka.

“Para tamu dari Jepang dan Korea Selatan datang untuk bertukar pengalaman, mereka juga berdialog dengan para lansia. Mereka juga didampingi oleh Prof Tri Budi Raharjo dan beberapa dosen lain dari Universitas Indonesia,” tutur Ratna Kusumaningsih, Branch Head Cita Sehat Foundation.***

Elder Friendly Village in Karet, Pleret, Bantul regency, Yogyakarta attracts the attention of a professor from Japan named Prof. Takeo Ogawa and colleagues from South Korea. They are interested in handling the elder in Karet village handled by NGOs and executors who are still young.

The visit was welcomed by the elder companion assisted directly by Cita Sehat Foundation which is the member of RZ. In their country elder services performed by inviting elder to the Elder Centre, while in Karet vilage done precisely by the staff and visit the elder residence. While in their country government and medical personnel handle the elder, in contrary in this village the activity is carried out by giving a training to local cadre which are residents either the teens, mothers as well as or among the elderly themselves, the training is given by health program team of RZ. The cadres were trained until they really can perform services to the elder in their communities.

“The visitors from Japan and South Korea come to exchange experiences, they also had a dialogue with the elder. They were also accompanied by Prof Tri Budi Raharjo and some other lecturers from the University of Indonesia, “said Ratna Kusumaningsih, Branch Head of Cita Sehat Foundation. ***
