KEDIRI. Thursday (27/04) Total of 5 volunteers of Rumah Zakat participated in Akar Tanam Wangi or NARWASTU activities held by BPBD Kediri Regency. The activity begins with Morning Apel followed by volunteers such as Laras Wilis, Tagana, Gladilapang, etc. The Apel started at 08.30 and was attended by Mrs. Hariyati Kediri regent who also followed a series of its agenda.
A total of 2000 NARWASTUs are distributed per village. The function of the NARWASTU plant is to prevent landslide, as its roots can grow up to 15m deep so the soil becomes more stronger.
“Our hope as a community could increase the love of the environment, and prevent the occurrence of natural disasters that lately often occur around us,” said one of the volunteers.
