JAKARTA. RZ (Rumah Zakat) has successfully established 40 waste banks in 40 ICDs that are spread in Aceh, Medan, Padang, Batam, Pekanbaru, Palembang, Lampung, Jakarta Timur, Jakarta Barat, Tangerang, Cilegon, Bekasi, Depok, Bogor, Cikarang, Balikpapan, Pontianak, Makassar, Bandung, Cimahi, Cirebon, Yogyakarta, Solo, Semarang, Surabaya and Kediri.
This program is a part of environmental program that focuses on civilizing clean and healthy lifestyle. Through this program, RZ invites ICD members to sort, collect, and process inorganic waste to valuable things.
Heny Widiastuti, RZ Chief Progam Officer, expected that the program can support solving waste management problem for a sustainable environment. “Social mindset change regarding to the waste can help people to civilize better viewpoint toward waste management,” Widiastuti said.
Widiastuti claimed that business opportunity can be obtained from many things and one of them is waste. “By the existence of this program, RZ expects to create sustainable environment and prosperous society,” She said.***
