BANDUNG. Friday (16/06) -Indosat Ooredoo Business signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on strategic cooperation with Rumah Zakat for Empowered Village Program. The Memorandum of Understanding covering cooperation on Connectivity and Digital Corner services was signed directly by Director & Chief Wholesale & Enterprise Indosat Ooredoo, Herfini Haryono, and Chief Executive Officer of Rumah Zakat Nur Efendi,.
One of Rumah Zakat’s commitments to contribute to poverty eradication in Indonesia is realized through Empowered Village program. “Empowered Village is a comprehensive approach so that people in a village can cope with problems while improving access to and services in education, health, economy and environment,” Nur Efendi said.
In 2017, Rumah Zakat has a target to empower 1,080 villages. “Until the middle of this year, Rumah Zakat has built 977 Empowered Village. We consider the collaboration with various parties is very important, so that more Empowered village can be realized, ” Nur Efendi explained.
The strategic partnership with Indosat Ooredoo Business to provide Connectivity and Digital Corner services is expected to be part of efforts to accelerate sustainable community development. “Access and information technology services can be a potential leverage in each of Explained Village areas. The hope of active participation of the community can be improved with this service, “Nur Efendi concluded.
