OGAN KOMERING ILIR, Sunday (10/20/19) – Rumah Zakat volunteers plunged back to extinguish forest and land fires. This time the destination is Pulu Beruang Village, Tulung Selapan District, OKI Regency, South Sumatra. After 6 hours drive from Palembang, 5 Volunteers immediately coordinated with BPBD OKI and headed for the hotspot that would be extinguished.
Different from the previous action, the river of Pulu Beruang Village dried up. Therefore, Volunteers with BPBD, Manggala Agni and Satpol PP can only extinguish fires with tree branches.
In addition to putting out forest and land fires, Volunteers also distribute fruits to officers and the surrounding community.
