PALEMBANG. In the recent years, modern society has become more responsible when it comes to waste management. Irresponsible disposal of waste or not considering the convenience of other people or the environment is a punishable act. Therefore, each individual should be aware and cautious of the environmental policies when it comes to waste disposal and management. There are so many benefits of waste management both to the environment and to the people.
Therefore to create an integrated waste management, RZ initiate a community engaged in waste management spread in Integrated Community Development areas named waste bank.
Waste Bank program is a program that is focused on civilizing clean and healthy lifestyle. Through this program, the member of waste bank will be invited to sort waste in several category namely organic wastes, inorganic wastes, and residue.
In addition, the member of Waste bank Community will be introduced to the various types of waste and how to sort and manage them. They are also will be trained to produce valuable product by recycling waste.
This month, RZ launched 3 auxiliary units of waste bank in Prabumulih, Palembang, to facilitate local people for depositing inorganic waste and converting waste into money. Those auxiliary units of waste bank named UPIC Kamboja, UPIC Scout’s dan Upic Krisna. ***
