[:ID]BERSAMA RZ, KORBAN BANJIR GARUT KINI MULAI BANGKITGARUT. Sejak tragedi bencana banjir bandang yang menimpa Garut 5 bulan yang lalu, RZ menjaga komitmennya untuk menjadi lembaga terdepan dalam menolong sesama. Di fase recovery saat ini RZ membangun 10 Rumah tapak yang diperuntukan bagi korban banjir.

Tak hanya itu, RZ pun sangat memperhatikan bagaimana keberlangsungan ekonomi para korban. Melalui salah satu program pemberdayaannya, RZ membantu 3 keluarga korban banjir bandang untuk bangkit dari keterpurukan melalui bantuan modal usaha.

Setelah melalui tahap assessment dan sosialisasi para penerima manfaat tersebut siap bangkit berwirausaha melalui bantuan usaha dari RZ. “Saya punya rencana untuk ngelanjutin usaha (alm) suaminya teh, jualan es buah di sekolah,” ungkap Yulia, salah seorang korban yang suami dan anaknya meninggal terbawa arus banjir.

Begitupun dengan Kang Hana beliau juga akan berjualan es dan sirup di sekolah. “Kalau saya ingin ngontrak jongko (kios) di pasar Ciawitali, mau coba jualan sayuran.” timpal pak Wawan, penerima manfaat lainnya.

Sedikit demi sedikit, para korban banjir bandang Garut ini mulai bangkit dari keterpurukannya. Mereka bersemangat untuk membuka lembaran baru dalam hidup mereka.

Not only that, RZ was very concerned about how the economic sustainability of the victims as well. Through one of its empowerment program, RZ help three families of victims of flash floods to emerge from the downturn with the help of business venture capital.

After going through the assessment and dissemination, now the beneficiaries are ready to rise up through business assistance from RZ. “I have a plan for to continue my husband business, I want to sell iced fruit in schools,” said Yulia, a victim whose husband and son died swept away by the flood.

Likewise with brother Hana he will also sell ice and syrup in schools. “I want to rent a stall (kiosk) in Ciawitali market, my wife and I want to try selling vegetables.” Said Wawan, another beneficiaries.

Little by little, the flood victims in Garut began to rise. They are eager to open a new chapter in their lives.
