SURABAYA. Thursday morning (20/7), the developers Care for Teens (CFT) Surabaya attended composting training at the residence of one member of CFT, Zulfia. The purpose of this activity is to improve the environmental science skills that will be delivered back to the teenagers assisted by CFT Surabaya.
“As a youth coaching facility in Surabaya that deepens the field of youth, health, and environment, Care for Teen Surabaya assisted by Rumah Zakat and Cita Sehat is trying to constantly improve the capacity of knowledge owned by the coach and its members,” said Chairman of Pemina CFT Surabaya, Ilham Akbar.
The event, which started at 09.00 am, was filled by students of Environmental Engineering UNAIR graduate, Boanita. She delivered material about the techniques and benefits of composting. According to him, making compost is not difficult, just provide the necessary ingredients and tools, such as takakura basket (composting place), husk, cardboard, bearing from the net, readymade compost, and EM4.
Boanita also invites the participants to be able to maintain the environment, “Processing organic waste used kitchen waste households most easily processed into compost. Compost is not something difficult, especially all the materials and tools easily obtained at the nearest plant shop, we only need a will to do, let’s together maintain the environment, one of them by processing waste” Boanita said.
