PIDIE JAYA. The earthquake that occurred in Pidie Jaya, Aceh in December 2016 still left a lot of injuries. Not only the number of the wounded and dying, but also devastated homes and other public facilities, and also place of worship, there were at least 63 mosques collapsed affected by the magnitude 6.5 quake.
For Aceh, the mosque is not only used for worship but also as a center of education and community activities. Therefore, the mosque has an important role in people’s lives there.
As we know the things that are never dropped out when someone dies one of which is the practice or as perpetual alms. Building a mosque is a part of perpetual alms if the mosque used to worship so that the reward will continue to flow to the people who helped build the mosque.
Therefore through sharinghappiness.org Rumah Zakat opened opportunities for donors who wish to practice jariyah by helping our brothers to rebuild their places of worship. Alhamdulillah with many donors who help, we can build a mosque in the Gampong Hagu District, Meureudu, Pidie Jaya, Aceh namded Meunasah Mosque.
The process of building this mosque started since the end of February 2017 ago. The mosque is planned to be built with a size of 13×13 m2. Starting from the purchased material, then the construction of the foundation, frame, until now the development process has reached the stage of manufacture of the mosque’s walls and window frames.
“At present, the construction of Meunasah Mosque had lasted approximately 40%. This development process is running quite longer than normal time. This is because of the infrastructure that has been rebuilt after the earthquake that meet the needs of material require considerable time. In addition it is still high rainfall also led to the construction of the mosque stopped if it rains. “Said Nur Shyfa, Project Monitoring and Evaluation of Rumah Zakat.
