YOGYAKARTA. (26/4). Coinciding with the commemoration of National Diabetes Mellitus Day, RBG Primary Clinic of Rumah Zakat Yogyakarta again held Diabetes Melitus Education Class. From WHO data it is estimated that the number of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) type 2 patients in Indonesia will increase significantly to 21.3 million in 2030.
Rumah Zakat’s RBG Primary Clinic took the role as one of the clinics that help campaigning global awareness of Diabetes Mellitus.
Diabetes Education Class that was followed by 16 Participants is focused on prevention and treatment in patients with high Blood Sugar Level, especially in patients with patients who check themselves every month to Rumah Zakat’s RBG Primary Clinic. The education class started with Teaching Gymnastics Diabetes Mellitus, education about Diabetes Mellitus followed by checking Blood Sugar Levels.
Diabetes Melitus Education Class is guided by Nurse Mutaslimah, S.Kep, Ners and is open to anyone who is interested to know more about this disease. But the main target is families who have Diabetes patients because the role of the family is very important, as a node monitors the diet and physical activity.
“Alhamdulillah, I am very happy to be regular joining DM class at Rumah Zakat Clinic, know more about DM and share the experience with other participants,” said Mrs. Wiyatni, Bantul.
“Hopefully with the active participation of participants of Diabetes Mellitus patients can realize the importance of healthy living so that health status in Indonesia can be achieved,” said Rumah Zakat Health Facilitator, Nirawati Murdaningsih
