CIKARANG. Rumah Zakat through Desa Berdaya again provides capital assistance to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Capital assistance is given to the emping melinjo business actors in Pacarejo Village, Semanu District, Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta (DIY).
Kardiem or commonly called Diyem is a member of the Alersokah Cooperative Business Cooperation Group (KUBE) Al Zakat House which received an injection for the second time venture capital.
Diyem was very happy and could not cover his happy face when the Empowered Village Facilitator, Ratno Sungkowo, visited his home. Moreover when Diyem got the news that Rumah Zakat returned to provide its venture capital assistance.
“This greatly relieved me, Mas Ratno, I was greatly helped, so now I don’t just work on people’s orders, but I can buy melinjo myself,” Wardiyem said.
Zakat has provided three types of assistance in the form of providing business capital, procurement of business facilities, and repairs to production sites.
“Thank God, now the production site of Mbak Diyem looks more representative, comfortable, and godly if rain doesn’t seep from the roof and tampo from the side” Ratno said who looked cheerful when visiting her.
Diyem himself started his emping business since 2004 by only serving neighboring orders. For the cost or making of chips, Diyem costs Rp. 6,000 per kilogrammelinjo. The effort was done alone with makeshift equipment and facilities.
Now, the assistance program from Rumah Zakat is able to complete the orders of its customers with a capacity of 5 kilograms of melinjo every day with an average income of Rp. 40,000 or tariff Rp.8,000 / kg melinjo.
