LOMBOK. Post Lombok Earthquake, destroyed and damaged infrastructure including mosques, Rumah Zakat together with partners and donayors sought to rebuild mosques for earthquake-affected residents to easily carry out worship activities.
One of the mosques being built by Rumah Zakat is the Sinar Iman Mosque in the Empak Mayong Hamlet, Kayangan sub-district, North Lombok Regency. The condition of the mosque after the earthquake suffered severe damage, almost collapsed and could not be used again.
Now the Sinar Iman Mosque is in the process of being built and is in the finishing stage. The mosque was then given the name Taman Surga Sinar Iman Mosque, rebuilt with a design that was different from the previous mosque.
If the previous mosque was built with a wall while the mosque uses wood. Although the construction of the mosque is expected to be completed on the 24th of December, residents have used the mosque to pray in congregation.
“Alhamduillah, our mosque can be built again, we can pray in congregation as well, thank you Donators and Rumah Zakat who have built this mosque for us,” said one of the residents of Kayangan Village.
Until now Rumah Zakat along with partners and donators have renovated and built 4 mosques spread in NTB.
“Who built the mosque because of Allah even though it was only a hole where birds lay eggs or smaller, so Allah build for him (the house) like that also in heaven.” (Narrated by Ibn Majah No. 738. Al-Hafizh Abu Thahir said that this hadith saheeh).
