PEKANBARU. On (27/9) 7th grade of SMP Juara Pekanbaru conducted educational visit to Sang Nila Utama museum, Riau Province. The event participated by students of VII Alexandria and VII Madinah aims to introduce students to the historical heritage and add a sense of patriotism against the struggle of the heroes.
Activity carried out for 90 minutes was followed by 49 students and 3 teachers. Adina is a participant in this event stating, Adina is a participant in this event stated, “We are very happy to be here, because a lot of heritage that we can see and learn, from clothes ancient times until the carcass ancient animal”.
Social Subject learning activity is also becoming increasingly attracting the attention of students when they are grouped to examine a wide range of heritage..
Outing activities are part of social studies. It is expected that from this activity students can get closer to the legacy of history. Outing activities are learning activities conducted outside the usual classroom. Many places have become places visited such as Museum, Library, Prison, garden, park, and much more. After a visit outing students will make a written report on the visits carried out.
According to the principal of SMP Juara Pekanbaru Syahrul Padilah, S.Pd, activities will bring positive impact for students. “Students will get to know the reality that is happening in the field, this is called a contextual learning curriculum implemented in K.13,” said Syahrul.
Outing activities ended with the handover of souvenirs from SMP Juara Pekanbaru to the Museum Sang Nila. This activity was greeted happily by officers. Outing activities will be held once a month in different places later.
