BANGLADESH. (30/01) A total of 400 Quran are distributed to Rohingya refugee children at Balukhali Camp, Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh. The distribution is done in the mosque where they work.
The need for Al-Quran is very high because of the limited facilities in the camps. Besides overcoming the limitations of the number, the distribution Quran adds to the spirit of learning and memorizing Quran of the children.
“There are 29 children who learn Quran in the camp, they are excited and more eager to learn the Quran because they got a new and clean Quran,” said Surianto, Rumah Zakat Humanitarian Team.
Amid the limitations, the children of Rohingya learn and memorize the Quran in the Mosque camp for eight hours each day. From this activity it is expected that the students can become hafidz that can change the life of the Rohingya refugees there.
