LOMBOK. (10/10) One of the Rumah Zakat programs during the post earthquake recovery and rehabilitation is the construction of temporary housing or shelter for earthquake victims. Rumah Zakat built 265 shelters at evacuation posts in Menggala Hamlet, Pemenang Village, Pemenang Subdistrict, North Lombok Regency on land owned by the local government.
The Crisis Center of Rumah Zakat, Andri Murdianto explained that the temporary shelter at the Pemenang Village Refugee Camp had finished.
“Alhamdulillah, the process of building a temporary housing complex in the refugee camp in Pamenang has been completed and the refugees have moved from the tent to occupy the residence,” Andri Murdianto explained.
One semi-residential can be filled by 5 to 6 people with an area of 4.5 x 4.6 meters consisting of 2 bedrooms and 1 family room. In the manufacturing process, the surrounding community is involved.
In this shelter complex, other public facilities will be built, such as emergency mosques, emergency schools, health services, and public toilets.
“In the middle of the complex a mosque will be built and in the area next to the entrance, a power market will be built,” Andri added.
If later the rehabilitation period is complete and the conditions of the residents have returned to normal and can return to their homes, this temporary shelter will function as a cottage for tourists.
“This temporary shelter in the future can be functioned as a cottage for tourists, this can also be one of the tourism potential so that it can empower citizens” said Andri.
The period of recovery and rehabilitation after the disaster in Lombok must continue and supported. We are still with Lombok and continue to work to rebuild Lombok to get up. Let’s continue to support us for #NTBBangunKakang.
