This was conveyed after assisting MR immunization activities with local community health centers. SD Juara South Jakarta with Cita Sehat as the implementing partner of Rumah Zakat in the field of health to give MR immunization to all students from grade one to the sixth class. This is done as an effort to prevent measles and rubella in children aged nine months up to fifteen years old.
“Regarding parents’ doubts about immunization law, the Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI) has actually issued a fatwa on immunization last year. The fatwa says immunization is basically permissible (mubah) as a form of endeavor to realize immunity and prevent the occurrence of a particular disease, “Ismi added.
Not only issued Fatwa, MUI also gave a statement in a letter of recommendation issued on July 31, 2017. In the letter, MUI stated that MUI supports the Ministry of Health’s program about the campaign and the introduction of Measles and Rubella (MR) Immunization in 2017 and 2018.
