SIGI REGENCY. Wednesday (30/01) Rumah Zakat Action Team together with Musaadah Charity carried out a humanitarian mission in an area affected by the earthquake last September. Four months after the earthquake, still leave truma and economic distress for the community.
It was proven by Lolu Village in Sigi District, one of the locations the most severe affected by the earthquake. Most of the people in Lolu village are still difficult to find work and have not been able to manage their farm land as before, because the irrigation canals are still damaged.
“Most of our residents are still difficult to get money, because some of our residents who were working in Palu were resigned because the company was damaged, not to mention many of our residents who previously farmed, were unable to manage their land again because the irrigation channel was still heavily damaged. That is why most of our citizens only become farm laborers (managing people’s land) to be able to make money, “said Mr. Rusman as coordinator of the post
For this consideration, Rumah Zakat Action volunteer team with Musaadah Charity chose Lolu village as the location for logistics distribution. In this village Musaadah Charity distributed a logistics package in the form of rice, oil, sardines, and 200 packages of mineral water.
“We hope that this package can be a source of happiness for the people of Lolu who now live in shelters, hopefully this assistance can be beneficial for the citizens”, continued Fadel as the coordinator of the distribution team.
Mr. Rusman also expressed his gratitude for the assistance given “We also thank Rumah Zakat and Musaadah Charity for the assistance given to our citizens, hopefully what the Rumah Zakat and Musaadah Charity give today can be replied by Allah SWT in the coming days” he said.
