Gaza, June 20, 2026 – Rumah Zakat continues its humanitarian acts for the Palestinian community through a psychosocial support program for children of Gaza. This program is one of its efforts to help restore the mental health of children affected by the ongoing conflict.
The ongoing conflict not only damages homes, schools, and public facilities but also leaves children deeply traumatized. In addition to losing their sense of security, they must grow up in a situation full of uncertainty.
Rumah Zakat implemented the Psychosocial Support for Children of Gaza program from May 14 to June 20, 2026. During this period, approximately 100 children participated in various activities designed to help restore their mental well-being.
The program includes recreational therapy, counseling, educational games, and activities that encourage children to reconnect with their peers. This provides them with a safe space to express their feelings and alleviate the impact of conflict-related trauma.
Through this program, Rumah Zakat hopes to rekindle the spirit of learning, playing, and enjoying a better childhood for the children of Gaza. Furthermore, psychosocial support is a crucial part of the recovery process, enabling them to face the future with greater confidence.
The sustainability of this program is inextricably linked to the support of donors who continue to support Rumah Zakat’s humanitarian acts. Therefore, every contribution given provides new hope for Palestinian children to recover from the trauma they have experienced.
