Mindanao, Philippines, July 13, 2026 – Rumah Zakat has once again demonstrated its commitment to global humanitarian action by distributing emergency aid to earthquake-affected communities in Mindanao, Philippines. The Emergency Relief Natural Disaster in Mindanao program was implemented for four weeks in response to the disaster that struck the region.
The earthquake that struck Mindanao damaged hundreds of homes and several public facilities which resulted in many residents lost their homes and struggled to meet their daily needs due to disruptions to logistics distribution channels.
This humanitarian program was implemented in the Malapatan and Batulaki areas of Sarangani Province. During the program, Rumah Zakat successfully reached 60 families, or approximately 420 people, affected by the disaster.
Rumah Zakat has once again demonstrated its commitment to global humanitarian action by distributing emergency aid to earthquake-affected communities in Mindanao, Philippines.
The aid distributed included 25 basic food packages, 25 family needs packages, and 10 emergency tents. This assistance is expected to help meet basic needs and provide temporary shelter for survivors.
This assistance will allow communities to navigate the emergency response period more safely while awaiting the recovery process.
The distribution of this assistance is part of Rumah Zakat’s commitment to continue assisting communities affected by disasters, both in Indonesia and around the world.
