PALEMBANG. Volunteers of Rumah Zakat Palembang held a Disaster Preparedness Student (PSB) event on Saturday (21/10) at 13.30 WIB, located at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Daarul Aitam, Plaju, Palembang.
A total of 34 students who are little doctors, scout’s members and 4 volunteers followed the event. The material of PSB activities this time was continuing the material last month about identification of victims and evacuation simulation.
The presenters in PSB this time was Syaifudin from Volunteer of Rumah Zakat Palembang. Udin, his nickname, he gave the material by explaining how to conduct the assessment of the patient, to label (mark) with a certain color on the patient (victim) and move the patient to the location of the treatment that has been determined.
The students also enthusiastically followed the event. And as usual, after the presenters gave explanations and examples, the students were given the opportunity to practice the material directly described by the disaster simulation prepared by the volunteer team.
“It is interesting! I learned how to save the victim.” Exclaimed one of the participants.
